The Crystal Connection/Crystal Recreation Spring issue is arriving in homes at the beginning of this month. Get the latest news, including 2020 elections, police and fire updates and spring lawn tips with the very popular Curbside Pickup happening March 30 – April 9. Crystal Recreation’s offerings and registration begins March 2.

Do you have an outstanding Crystal neighbor? Nominate them for the Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors Award – honoring Crystal residents who make your life or your neighborhood better — such as helping with shoveling, or volunteering for a local cause. Order rain barrels, compost bins or kitchen collector pails now at the Recycling Association at Crystal residents get a $20 discount using the code HRG20OFF. Pick up your order at the Brooklyn Park Operations & Maintenance Facility on Saturday, May 2.


Crystal’s new podcast started in January – listen to the latest episode as I join Community Development Director John Sutter and Mayor Jim Adams to discuss housing: the big residential picture. Hear how Crystal is addressing affordable housing, accessory dwelling units and “the missing middle.”

Family Fun Night – Friday March 6: 6:00-8:30pm. Bounce, jump, joust, run in an inflatable hamster ball, with bungee fun at the Crystal Community Center! Plus, Bingo and designing a Crystal Frolics button for a chance to win prizes. Children must be accompanied by an adult, $10 online or at the door . > Details

POSTPONED: Bowling/Raffle Fundraiser for K9 Leo – New date to be announced soon. $20 per person includes bowling and shoes and one raffle ticket. Join us after at the VFW around 1:00 for lunch and buy raffle tickets for great prizes. All proceeds go towards Leo’s care and maintenance.  Details in the flyer below.

POSTPONED:  Cheers to Crystal – new date to be announced soon. Join us again this year to celebrate neighbors, great local craft beer and non-alcoholic sodas! Sample local foods with local live music and yard games.  Proceeds go towards funding inclusive play equipment at Becker Park, organized by Crystal Fund for Community Progress. > Details

Coffee With A Cop – Saturday, March 21, Noon – 1:30pm at Egg House Cafe, 6418 Bass Lake Rd. Visit with Crystal Police and learn more about your neighborhood safety.
